Hello.,
Who are the UK stockists for this., i.e. John Lewis, etc. If I purchase directly how much is x1 roll etc
Many thanks., David
Hello David,
if you can let me know where you are based, I may be able to recommend a wallpaper retailer near you. We sell to stocking retailers only, so you would not find Sparkle in any of the books at John Lewis. Another option is to purchase the paper online, as some of our retailers offer it there. You can try ilovewallpaper.co.uk, gowallpaper.co.uk, lancashirewallpaper.co.uk, wallpapercentral.co.uk, or Amazon, just to name a few. As a company we do not set the price to the public, this is up to our retailers. As a guidline, RRP is Β£25.00 per roll. Hope this helps!

Hi Connie,
H Brooks in Keighley are one of our stockists but our records indicate that they don’t stock Sparkle. There is an Al Murad there which might be able to order the product in for you?

Hi can you recommend retail shop in Derby?
Hi Kris,
your nearest retailers would be either in Nottingham:
– BRANSONS stock the silver and gold
– M & W TILLEY stock most of the colours
Or in Leicester: O & S stock most of the colours
Alternatively, B&M Bargains will start stocking the silver and gold sometime this month, as will B&Q, but unfortunately we have no detailed information as to when exactly this will happen. If you have any B&M or B&Q stores in Derby, you could ring beforehand to check if they have them yet?
Hope this helps!

Hi love the wallpaper can you please tell me if there is anywhere in bristol that sells it. Thank you very much
Hi Sam,
Our only stocking retailer in Bristol is Gardiner, however I don’t think they stock the Sparkle. Your best option might be to order it from an online retailer, such as Go Wallpaper, Wallpaper Central, Lancashire Wallpaper, or I Want Wallpaper. If you google Muriva Sparkle, you will see several listings.
Hope this helps!

Hi there. I’m wondering if this paper is suitable for use in a bathroom? If you could let me know, many thanks.
Hi Kaleigh,
As with any wallpaper, we do not recommend you hang the paper anywhere where it could come in direct contact with water – even just splashes could creep through the seams and start lifting the paper. If you hang it on a wall in a bathroom that is dry, then there should not be any problem. We recommend you prepare your walls as indicated on the label, use a good quality ready-mixed adhesive, and follow the hanging instructions as set forth on the label.
We have heard that some customers have put a clear varnish over the paper to make it waterproof. Normally we would not recommend to do this at home, but you could check with a professional decorator to see if they have any experience with this – it would be at your own risk to try it as we can’t vouch for the quality of the varnish, the application, etc.
Hope this helps somewhat!

Ho,
Trying to find a retailer (orpington) or website that stock your mink colour glitter paper. Dose it look in real life as purpley as the pic. As this is what im looking for.
Thanks.
Hi Lily,
Yes, the mink colourway does have a purple hue to it – lilac is probably the best hue I can use to describe it. There is no stockist in Orpington, however the product is widely available online and you can request a sample from the online retailer before you buy. If you type “Muriva Sparkle Mink” into Google, you will get several listings. Some to try are Go Wallpaper, Wallpaper Central, Amazon, Taskers Online, or Select Wallpaper.
Hope this helps!

Hi! I’ve spotted that B&Q stock a pink which looks more like the Mink on your website (not the hot pink) could you confirm this is the colour they stock and… they are out of stock so are there any other suppliers in the Watermelon/North Cheshire area please?
Thanks,
Caroline
Hi Caroline,
The soft pink colour you spotted at B&Q is an exclusive to B&Q. It is different from the mink colour – the mink is more of a soft lilac and the colour at B&Q is definitely a pink (but not hot pink). I’m sorry to hear your local store is currently out of stock. However, you can order the item on B&Q’s website and have it shipped to your local store at no charge:
https://www.diy.com/departments/sparkle-pink-texture-metallic-glitter-wallpaper/1279552_BQ.prd
Another option is to have your local B&Q store check if it is available at another B&Q store nearby.
Hope this helps!

Hello Sue,
Unfortunately we have no control over B&Q’s ordering process, but we definitely have the B&Q version of the gold Sparkle in stock. The store should be able to order it in for you.
As for our Muriva branded item 701354, this has been out of stock but will be available again through our authorized retailers and online from March 14th.

Sory the code of the paper i have is 701352 batch g04
Hi Donna,
I can assure you that the Sparkle wallpaper in silver 701352 is still an active item at b&m bargains. In fact we have just recently shipped a large supply to them. This means that your local b&m store should be able to order it either for you either from their central warehouse, or from another b&m store. Please ask them to check the batch number for you.
If they can’t help you, I suggest you look for the item from an online retailer. Some to try are: Go Wallpaper, Lancashire Wallpapers, Wallpaper Central, Decorsave, or Select Wallpaper. If you ask the retailer for the batch you require, they might be able to help you.
As a manufacturer, we unfortunately do not have the facility to sell directly to the public, but hopefully one of the above retailers can help you.

Dear Mrs Spinelli,
There are 2 retail chains who carry this product: Brewer’s Decorator Centres https://www.brewers.co.uk/stores (they have sample books and will order the product you require for you) or The Range, who stock the product in about 50 stores nationwide https://www.therange.co.uk. Hi, I have bought this paper in lilac. Absolutely love it however not sure if it’s coz is light coloured but the joins are really visible. Going to strip and redo – any tips? Thanks
Hi Sam,
I’m assuming you’ve followed the hanging instructions on the back of the label? The most important one being that the paper shouldn’t be reverse hung – in other words, all strips should be hung in the same direction top to bottom. We also recommend using only high quality, ready-mixed paste for heavyweight vinyl – like Solvite or PRIDE. This will prevent “watery” paste coming out between the seams. If that happens, you would have to wipe it off, which might remove some of the surface glitter, which would then make the seams look different from the rest of the paper and hence make the seams more visible. I hope this makes sense! Also, I don’t know what your wall colour is underneath; it helps if it is a shade that is not too much lighter or darker than the paper. Hope this helps,
Best wishes,
Anne at Muriva
Hi there,

Hi there,
I’m thinking of buying either the silver or the hot teal colour but I’m not sure yet – is it possible to send a small sample.
Thanks, Emma π
Hi Emma,
As a manufacturer we only have the facility to provide samples to the trade; but most of our retailers offer a sampling service for consumers. Our Sparkle product is widely available in wallpaper retail stores and online; if you google “Muriva Sparkle” and contact any of the retailers listed, they can certainly help you with a sample. Hope this helps!

Are there any retailers in derby that stock both these colours?
Thanks again , Emma π
Hi Emma,
In Darby there are Brewer’s Decorator Centre or Dulux Decorators, both of which will have books with the wallpaper in it, and they can then order the correct number of rolls for you. There is also Al Murad who usually stock the paper, but it is worth giving them a ring to see if they currently have both colours in: 01332 343549. There is also The Range, or the b&m Home Store on Ascot Drive. Again I suggest ringing them before you drive there to check their current stock level.
Hope this helps!

Hi. Bought 6 rolls of the silver glitter and my decorator (who I always use) hung it. It kept lifting at the edges, plus every join was clearly visable. I have it say, it looked awful. I ended up painting over it 2 days later bacause it was all different shades of colour and the edges were awful and stuck out. So after having to purchase paint, it ended up being very very expensive lining paper!
Hello Heather,
Very sorry; I only just received this email via our website; it was held by our spam filter. It sounds to me like the decorator has reverse hung the texture, but I can’t be sure until we see images. If you could please email your query and any supporting photos to our main office at info@muriva.com. Our quality assurance manager, Cheryl, will respond after checking them.
Thank you very much

Hi there.. I have had the same problem with real dark seams where the paper meets together,, The paper has been hung in the correct direction because my decorator did make this mistake to begin with and it was clearly visible that one strip was upside down. This has now been Ammended but over a week later I can visibly see every join especially in natural daylight,, The seam marks only disappear when it is subjected to say a down light but then if you look at it from another angle the seams reappear.. Some seams did lift a fraction of a mm but even those that were perfect still have darkened lines..! Would laying the paper with an overlap then scoring after of been a better hanging technique? But would that of resolved the dark line issue??
Hi Ryan,
Unfortunately it is hard to judge without seeing any images.
Do you know if your decorator used ready mixed adhesive for heavyweight vinyl, as recommended? If he used standard paste, and it was quite watery, he may have had paste “squeeze” out between the seams. He may have then wiped the seams and taken some of the glitter off. This would of course diminish the light-reflectiveness of the paper in that area, causing the seams to appear darker?
However, if this was NOT the case, and you believe the fault lies with the printing of the product, then you can take the labels and any remaining samples to the retailer you purchased the product from, and they will file a claim procedure with us. Please also include photos of the product, especially the area where you believe the printing fault is.
Thank you
Anne
i hung six drops of this wallpaper, one of them looks a different colour, any ideas?
Hello Gareth,
There are two things that could have caused this issue: 1) The strip that looks different came from a different batch – please check that all the batch numbers of the rolls you purchased are the same 2) The strip that looks different was reverse hung. The texture is directional, meaning all strips must be hung in the same direction top to bottom as they come off the roll, as indicated in the hanging instructions. Please check that the paper was not reverse hung.
If you think the different shade was not caused by either of those, then please return the remainder of the different roll and the label to the retailer you purchased the wallpaper from. The retailer will then contact us (and exchange the roll for you based on their return policy). It would be helpful if you took a few pictures for the retailer so they can judge themselves what the cause of the shading might be.
Hope this information is helpful
Kind regards
Anne at Muriva
I have just hung 15 rolls of this wallpaper in various colours in my brothers new house and while it has a great overall effect there is a problem with the joins that stems from the manufacturing process . It appears there is very slight wave effect along the edge of the paper ,it looks like it has been cut to width post the printing process by a blade that was not square to the roll and possibly not sharp enough as the printed face seems to have turned down in the direction of cutting, giving the effect the printed face is narrower than the paper face if that makes sense, allowing a slight line to show when butt joined.
Over lapping the paper then cutting with a scalpel is not possible as the surface cannot be wiped effectively without some of the colour washing out, this is particularly noticeable with the black.
The solution i found was to use felt pens matched as closely to the colour (test on a small piece first as some dry in darker than expected) as possible on the white paper ends of the rolls before unrolling and cutting to length . Not an ideal solution and a bit disappointing the labeled instructions indicate the paper is extra washable as it clearly is not,but an effective way to get rid of the white lines down the joins on the darker colours . I did not have to do this with the gold and silver as the joins were far less noticeable on these colours due to the way they reflect light.
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your query. We have literally sold tens of thousands of rolls of our Sparkle range in the last couple of years without any problems, so I’m sure we can sort this out for you π If I understand you correctly, you hung 15 rolls in total, first the gold Sparkle (no issues), then the silver Sparkle (no issues) and then the black (you noticed issues of visible joins). I am not certain this issue would stem from the cutting process in manufacturing, as the process is the same for all of our Sparkle items and has not been reported as an issue since we have started selling the product. It would also be quite unusual that a manufacturing fault would coincidentally affect exactly the 15 rolls you purchased, across different colours, batch numbers and manufacturing times. This is why I would like to investigate the installation process further. Almost every single problem reported to us regarding Sparkle stems from mistakes in installation, so please allow me to ask a few questions:
1) A common mistake is that consumers will reverse hang the product, in other words, one strip as it comes off the roll, and the other one upside down. However, this texture is directional (straight match), and should NOT be reverse hung, as indicated on the label. Otherwise the joins will be more visible (as the specific pattern of the texture doesn’t match up at the joins), and also you would get kind of a light/dark “football pitch” effect as one strip would reflect the light upwards and the other one downwards and therefore appear lighter or darker.
2) Another common mistake is that customers use self-mixed / watery paste, which can squeeze out between the joins. They then try to rub off the excess paste quite vigorously, which of course would cause some of the ink and glitter particles to rub off. This issue does not just affect Sparkle, by the way, but any wallpaper from any brand that is printed with black ink or ink with high opacity. It is the same effect you have when handling freshly printed newspaper. This is why we recommend using ready mixed paste for heavyweight vinyls from a quality brand such as Solvite or PRIDE.
3) All wallpaper requires soaking time. The length of time you soak your wallpaper is the length of time that it takes for your wallpaper to expand fully. Shrinking – which is I think what you are describing – occurs when the wallpaper does not adhere sufficiently to the wall before the wallpaper paste dries. Most wallpapers expand when wet if the wallpaper is not adhered to the wall properly or if it is over-stretched the wallpaper will start to shrink back as it dries.
Robert, could you please check if any of these might have affected the installation of your wallpaper? If you can safely rule all of these out, and you still believe the fault is with the rolls themselves, you have the option of contacting the retailer you purchased the product from and they will start a returns procedure with us. The reason this has to be done through the retailer is that your contract of purchase lies with them, not ourselves. The retailer will require the labels and batch numbers from the black Sparkle roll you already hung, as well as any unopened rolls your didn’t use after noticing the fault. They may also want to see a few photos to determine the cause of the issue.
I hope this information has been of some help.
Best wishes,
Anne at Muriva
We have just finished hanging this paper in the pink following the instructions that came with it and I must say it looks awful, visible joins and where excess paste has been wiped off the colour has come off the paper.
I’ve read a few replys on here saying that people should of used ready mixed paste for heavyweight vinyl wallpaper, why are these instructions not on the paper?? Also how can you label the paper as being extra-washable and with good colour fastness when the colour comes off if you wipe it? In my opinion this is awful paper, definitely wouldn’t buy it again. We’re probably going to have to take it off and come up with another option, maybe glitter paint will be better than this stuff!!!
Dear Emma,
Very sorry for the delay in replying; I normally manage Muriva’s website queries but I have been on annual leave during the half-term week.
Our labels do say right on the front to use ready mixed paste. If your label does not, the product you have purchased may be 6 months old or older? You can of course also hang this paper with self-mixed paste, however it is very important to follow the paste manufacturers instructions and mix the paste to the right consistency. The only problems customers have experienced is when the paste was mixed too watery or too much paste was used, and they had to wipe the seams quite vigorously to get rid of the excess. This will affect the ink on any wallpaper, not just this one.
However if on reflection you still feel that the colour fastness lies with a fault in production, not installation, would you please contact the retailer you purchased the product from and have them assess the situation. Please give them any leftover rolls and roll labels that you have, and indicate the item number and batch number. The retailer can then start a returns procedure with us. Any further queries, please contact our main office at info@muriva.com.
Kind regards,
Anne
Hi,
is this the same glitter wallpaper that is on the best wallpaper place website? – https://thebestwallpaperplace.com/browse-styles/glitter-wallpaper.html
Hi John,
No, they don’t seem to be. Our Sparkle wallpaper is only available from authorized Muriva retailers, such as Wallpaper Central, Go Wallpaper, Lancashire Wallpaper, or I Love Wallpaper. Note that I Love Wallpaper also sell another glitter wallpaper by a company called Fine Decor which looks exactly like ours but is not the same quality as ours!! If you want the original Sparkle wallpaper, choose the one that has Muriva in the name. Hope this helps!
